When a star comedian dies, rather than letting anyone know, his comedy writers decide to find and teach an unknown to fill his shoes for a big show the comedian had been schedeled for. But the man they choose - bellboy, Stanley Belt - can't do anything right, and time's running out.

Beyond living in his disapproving mother-in-law's house while he establishes his accounting career, Bill Denny is happily married to Kate Denny; they're about to celebrate their second wedding anniversary. Bill thinks he's come home without a present for Kate since a stray Welsh terrier caused a ruckus in the store where he was going to buy the present. However Kate believes her anniversary present is the terrier who followed Bill home, and she names him Archie. Bill and Kate don't know that the terrier escaped from its owners, a bunch of smugglers who trained it to be the contact for the switch between the smuggled goods and the money. Bill and Archie don't get along, so Bill does whatever he can to get rid of the dog. Meanwhile, the people buying the smuggled goods believe that the smugglers have swindled them since the terrier has not made contact, so when ads appear in the lost-and-found section about a missing Welsh terrier, Bill unwittingly gets caught in the middle as he tries to return Archie to her rightful people, and Kate can't understand why Archie is always trying to go off on their walks (when he's just doing what he was trained to do, trying to make contact for the drop). Add a harried police detective investigating a series a murders in which Bill seems to be involved, and chaos ensues.

Seymour takes pieces of the body back to the shop and discovers that the plant likes human flesh. The next morning, Audrey Jr. has grown and become the attraction of the shop. But how will Seymour feed his plant again?

Hoping to make enough money through an overseas employer to live comfortably, Real Estate Developer Dan Sanders manages to convince his son, Tyler, and wife, Tammy, to re-locate in a remote corner of Oregon. Tyler does seem content after he meets with lovely Amber, but Tammy is concerned about her husband when he near-hysterically claims that local creatures, including beavers, ravens, bears, fox, etc. have joined forces to sabotage his project.

Beyond the fact of the aftermath of Will's disappearance for those five years, both Maggie and Daniel are aware of the reason for Will's unilateral decision. In addition, Daniel and Maggie have not seen each other also for the same reason for Will's decision to leave. As the five spend a largely uncomfortable few days together at the lake house, the questions become whether Will, Maggie and Daniel can get over the incident, they can emotionally deal with the reason for the incident, and Maggie can deal with what she felt was Will's desertion of her. Once they find out what's going on, the senior Blooms may be able to provide an interesting perspective on the matter.

"The Professor's Wife": Professor Dayton invites his two best former students to introduce his fiancée Kathy in a dinner party. Charles and John believe Kathy is an android and decide to disassemble her in the best episode. "Haunted Dog": The mean, abusive and reckless Dr. Farwell is serving in a free clinic in a poor neighborhood. When he accidentally drops a hot-dog on the sidewalk, he gives the dirty sandwich to a homeless beggar and the man dies. Then he is haunted by the ghost of the beggar.
