Does this mean more comic characters are coming?
The Walking Dead is adding another face from the franchise's comic books.
Tom Payne has joined the cast as Paul Monroe, better known as "Jesus," for a recurring role in the upcoming sixth season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He also has an option to continue on to Season 7.
In the comics, the character is a resident at the Alexandria Safe-Zone after moving from another group known as the Hilltop Colony. Well-adapted to society, he stands out among the post-apocalyptic crowd thanks to his logic and strong sense of morality.

His casting could lead to more comic book characters, such as the villainous Negan, to join the drama.
