The Hills Is Officially Returning to MTV

Are you ready for New Beginnings?

Megan Vick

It's official: The Hills is coming back.

After months of rumors, several The Hills cast members, including Audrina Patridge, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag and Justin Bobby, reunited at the 2018 Video Music Awards to tease a very special announcement. During a commercial break, a teaser trailer featuring an acoustic version of "Unwritten" -- the Natasha Bedingfield anthem that served as the original Hills theme song -- announced a new Hills show is coming soon.

The revival, which is slated to debut in 2019, is called The Hills: New Beginnings. It will feature the aforementioned cast members, as well as original stars Whitney Port and Spencer's little sister Stephanie. And before you even ask, Lauren Conrad will not be returning to the reality show that made her a star. As we said when rumors kicked into high gear last month, Conrad is a happily married mom with a very successful lifestyle brand that doesn't need a Hills push.

Our burning questions about The Hills reunion

That doesn't mean there still isn't fun to be had. Pratt and Montag have surprised the world by staying together since meeting on the show, and Pratt's crystal business would make for on-camera gold. Even though the cast has grown up a lot since their post-college clubbing days, you can best believe they can stir up some drama worth ruining your mascara for.
