We never even considered the possibility that The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise wouldn't be renewed, but now it's official: The reality dating show where one woman chooses a future husband (or not) from 30 men has been renewed for Season 16, and the spin-off where castoffs from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette hang out on a beach and couple up has been renewed for Season 7. ABC made the announcement at the Television Critics Association summer press tour on Monday.

The Bachelorette ended Hannah Brown's season last week in dramatic fashion even by Chris Harrison's standards, with Hannah calling off her engagement to Jed Wyatt after she found out he lied about having a girlfriend when he went on the show. She then potentially restarted her romance with runner-up Tyler Cameron. It was the summer's top-rated Monday night show, and according to ABC, Hannah's finale telecast was up 17% over last year's in the 18-49 demographic, which is no easy feat in the era of ratings erosion.

Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 premieres Monday, Aug. 5 and will air Mondays and Tuesdays into September. It features fan favorites like Dean Unglert, Demi Burnett, and John Paul Jones descending on a resort in Mexico in search of romance with other members of Bachelor Nation.

ABC had previously renewed franchise flagship The Bachelor for Season 24, which will premiere in 2020.

Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC. It's available to stream on Hulu.
