This is already our new favorite show

The fourth and final season of The Good Place hasn't even premiered yet, but Ted Danson has already lined up his next gig -- and we're already very excited about it.

The two-time Emmy winner, who received a record 13th nomination for Best Comedy Actor on Tuesday, is teaming up with comedic geniuses Tina Fey and Robert Carlock (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) for a new show that has been given a straight-to-series order at NBC.

The comedy follows a wealthy businessman (Danson) who is elected mayor of Los Angeles, but who hasn't got a clue what to do after he wins. He has to figure out what exactly he stands for while trying to gain the respect of his staff. He'll be doing all of this while also trying to connect with his teenage daughter and -- now this is very important -- attempting to control the coyote population.

Here's When The Good Place, One Chicago, and More NBC Shows Premiere in the Fall

We don't know about you, but a series that combines the comedy powers of Danson, Fey, and Carlock sounds like a gift straight from heaven. So while we're still upset we're soon going to have to say goodbye to The Good Place, we're also very much looking forward to this new series in the future.

The Good Place returns for its final season on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c on NBC.
