A fan-favorite character is getting a bigger role in Season 3 of Stranger Things.

Lucas' (Caleb McLaughlin) precocious little sister Erica (Priah Ferguson) has been upped to a recurring role for the third outing after being a scene-stealer in four episodes of Season 2.

"Lucas' strong-willed little sister returns, only this time with an army of friends. No longer content with sitting on the sidelines, Erica finds herself on a wild mission to save Hawkins from a dangerous and unexpected new threat," reads a character description for Erica posted on Deadline.

Stranger Things' Joe Keery Might Shave Off His Awesome Hair

The next season will also add Maya Thurman-Hawke into the mix. The daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, she'll play "an alternative girl who is equal parts sharp and playful. Bored with her mundane day job, she just wants a little excitement in her life... and gets more than she bargained for when she uncovers a dark secret in Hawkins," the trade publication reports.

Thurman-Hawke's character is yet another new person added to the mix after rumors began circulating that three new adults would be joining the cast for the next outing. One thing is for sure, even if the Upside Down isn't getting any bigger, the Season 3 cast definitely is.

Stranger Things 2 is currently streaming on Netflix.
