It may feel like everyone who's ever been in a DC Comics TV show will be showing up in the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, but one actor will not be joining the reunion. If you were holding your breath for a visit from Smallville's Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), you're going to have to let that one go.

Rosnebaum tweeted out a note on Tuesday explaining that he will not be appearing in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Though Warner Bros. did ask him to make a cameo, the actor said he did not feel he'd been given enough information to sign on to reprise his role.

"Friends, many of you have tweeted and asked me about joining the Infinite Crossover," Rosenbaum wrote. "I can't tell you how much this means to me. I'll just be straight up about this. WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home. Their offer: No Script. No idea what I'm doing. No idea when I'm shooting. Basically no money. And the real kick in the ass 'We have to know now.' My simple answer was 'Pass.' I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions. Lovingly Rosenbaum."

Everything We Know About the Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths Crossover

This news comes on the heels of the announcement that Smallville's Tom Welling and Erica Durance will reprise their roles as Clark Kent and Lois Lane in the upcoming crossover, which no doubt fueled questions about whether Rosenbaum would return.

The five-way crossover kicks off this fall with Supergirl on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8/7c, continuing on Batwoman on Monday, Dec. 9 and The Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 10. After winter break, the crossover will pick up again on Tuesday, Jan. 14 with a new episode of Arrow at 8/7c before concluding with DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 9/8c.
