Sharon Stone is still as hot as ever.

The actress posed for a series of nude photos for the September Issue of Harper's Bazaar, and she bared more than just her skin. In an interview, she also opened up about the horrific brain injury that almost ended her life and career almost 15 years ago.

The actress had felt unwell for three days before deciding to go to the hospital to get checked out. She lost consciousness soon after she arrived, and her doctor told her to call her mom to come ASAP because, terrifyingly, he said she might soon lose the ability to speak. It turned out to be a stroke that became a nine-day-long cerebral hemorrhage. Twenty-two platinum coils had to be implanted in her brain just to stem the bleeding.

The Basic Instinct star said recovery was hellish. When she was finally able to leave the hospital, she had a stutter and a limp, and had lost the ability to read. She lost the feeling in her left leg for months. Nearly a decade later, working as a guest star on Law & Order: SVU, she was still having trouble remembering her lines. To boot, she said she felt like she was "at the back of the line" in terms of acting gigs -- a far fall for a woman who was once nominated for an Oscar.

"That was humiliating," Stone told the magazine. "I thought, 'You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I'm going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that's going a million miles an hour, and work my way from the cattle car up. That's just the way it is, so I'd better get humble and shut the f--- up and do the job. Because if I can't do this job, I'm certainly not going to be able to do anything else.'"

But now, years later, she feels -- and looks! -- amazing. Harper's posted one of the photos to Instagram:

Oh, and some good news for Stone on the career front: Her TNT show, Agent X, premieres this fall.
