With consistently dismal ratings since its debut earlier this month, Sean Hayes' new comedy Sean Saves the World is easily one of the new fall season's bubble shows, But according to Hayes, that's not the show's fault.

"To me, [the show] is working," Hayes told TheTVPage.com. "It's just the struggle of the elephant in the room which is 'How do you get viewers to NBC?' NBC programs great shows, it just doesn't have the eyeballs CBS does."

Bubble Shows: Which will survive?

In fact, none of the network's Thursday night comedies (SeanParks and Recreation,The Michael J. Fox Show and the quickly-canceled Welcome to the Family) are performing well. NBC has ordered additional scripts for Sean Saves the World, but if the numbers don't increase, it's unlikely to be renewed for a sophomore season.

But Hayes isn't deterred. "Even if I wasn't on the show, it'd be the funniest sitcom, to me, on the air right now," Hayes says. "I watch it and go, 'Well, this is really f---ing funny.' I wouldn't change anything right now. I think it's all working."
