Grammy winner Sam Smith will sing the newest James Bond theme, from the upcoming 007 film Spectre. The track, called "Writing's on the Wall," will be available for pre-order on iTunes as of Tuesday at midnight, and will be released for purchase and streaming on Sept. 25.

"'Writing's On the Wall' will surely be considered one of the greatest Bond songs of all time," producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in a statement.

Smith, 23, announced the news Tuesday on his social media accounts, calling it "one of the highlights of my career." The British singer won four Grammys earlier this year for his debut album, In the Lonely Hour, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for "Stay with Me."

Adele sang the most recent Bond theme, "Skyfall," from the 2012 film of the same name. The song won multiple awards, including the Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Original Song, and a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media.

Spectre hits U.S. theaters on Nov. 6.
