Ryan Murphy may have left FX for Netflix, but he's bringing his American Horror Story crew with him. Jessica Lange and Dylan McDermott have both signed on to star in Murphy's upcoming Netflix series The Politician.

The one-hour comedy will follow the political career of the wealthy young striver Payton (Benjamin Platt), with every season focusing on a different political race that Payton is involved in. Deadline reported Wednesday that Lange has been set as one of the show's female leads, while McDermott confirmed his casting in a SiriusXM interview on Monday.

Lange and McDermott both starred in Murder House, the first season of American Horror Story. After Murder House, McDermott appeared in a small but pivotal role in the second season, Asylum. Meanwhile, Lange continued to headline the FX anthology for three more seasons, with Freak Show marking her last as a series regular. Lange later reunited with Murphy to star opposite Susan Sarandon in his other FX anthology, Feud: Bette and Joan. Both McDermott and Lange reprised their Murder House roles in American Horror Story: Apocalypse this fall.

As for who the two stars will be playing in Murphy's new endeavor, McDermott revealed this week that his character is a "con man" who is married to a female escort (played by January Jones) whom he met when he hired her to attend a political fundraiser with him. No details are known about Lange's role at this time, but we're betting it will nab her some more Emmy and Golden Globe nominations (if not wins).
