Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose Join X-Files Reboot as New Agents

Six Feet Under alum Lauren Ambrose and The Flash's Robbie Amell are heading to Fox's reboot of The X-Files, Variety reports.

The actors will appear in one episode of the six-episode miniseries. Ambrose will play Agent Einstein, who's described as "sharp and confident," while Amell will play the "smart, smooth" Agent Miller, according to Variety.

They join previously announced guest star Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), who will also appear in one episode, Joel McHale and Annet Mahendru (The Americans). Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny are reprising their roles as FBI special agents/paranormal investigators Dana Scully and Fox Mulder for the reboot, which is set to premiere in January.
