CBS may have lost the legal battle (for now), but it's won the ratings war.

ABC's Big Brother-like new series The Glass House opened to a soft 4.18 million viewers and a 1.6 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic Monday, down 33 percent from last year's premiere of Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition in the slot. In comparison, Big Brother averaged 7 million viewers and a 3.2 last summer.

Big Brother vs. The Glass House: How similar are they really?

Glass House's lead-in, The Bachelorette (6.9 million, 2.3), was flat.Fox won the night in the demo with Hell's Kitchen (5.5 million, 2.5) and MasterChef (5.5 million, 2.3), while NBC led in viewership with America's Got Talent (11.1 million, 2.8) and American Ninja Warrior (5.7 million, 2.0).On cable, The Killing's season (series?) finale drew 1.45 million viewers, down from the 2.2 million who tuned in for Season 1's fake-out closer. The viewership was also surprisingly down from the penultimate episode, which nabbed 1.8 million. HBO's season finale of Girls on Sunday, however, did grow, grabbing 1 million viewers.8 p.m.
