Psych Scoop: Tom Arnold Books Spooky Season 8 Guest Spot

Move over, Jennifer Love Hewitt! There's a new ghost whisperer coming to the small screen.

Veteran comedian Tom Arnold is set to guest-star on an upcoming episode of Psych as a paranormal police consultant, TVGuide.com has learned.

Arnold's character, Garth Mathers, has solved many cases for the Anchorage PD with his trust spirit sidekick, Bernie, who may or may not have a drinking problem. Garth and Bernie come to Santa Barbara to guest on a panel at the Cutting Edge Consultants, but when murder strikes, they offer to help solve the case. That is, if Bernie can lay off the bottle for a few days.

Arnold, who currently hosts My Big Redneck Vacation, recently appeared on Sons of Anarchy, Hot in Cleveland and Hawaii Five-0.  He joins previously announced guest star Mira Sorvino, who will recur as the Santa Barbara PD's newest detective in Season 8. Arnold is set to appear in the seventh episode of Season 8.
