Pretty Little Liars Takes Out an A.D. Traitor and Adds to the Body Count

Who got the axe?

Megan Vick

[Warning: The following contains spoilers from Tuesday's episode of Pretty Little Liars. Read at your own risk]

Pretty Little Liarshas added another person to its body count.

Sara Harvey (Dre Davis) got the axe in Tuesday's episode after someone decided she was "playing for the wrong team." The murder came after Sara tried to protect Emily (Shay Mitchell) from Jenna (Tammin Sursok) and swore she "really cares" about the Liars.

The problem is that Sara pledged her allegiance to Emily and the other girls in earshot of Jenna, who is decidedly against the Liars. It turns out that Jenna had a secret friendship with Charlotte (Vanessa Ray) and is the one who helped Archer Dunhill (Huw Collins) get a job at the hospital as Dr. Elliot Rollins. Jenna blames Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and the girls for Charlotte's death as well as "Archie's" disappearance.

Pretty Little Liars: The softening of Alison DiLaurentis

Sara's death, of course, brings up more questions than answers. Was it Jenna who killed her because she showed affection for Emily? Was it A.D. for a similar reason? If so, who was simultaneously attacking Alison at her house? The only things we know for sure are that Archer Dunhill is not A.D. or still alive and that A.D. is the deadliest threat the Liars have ever faced. We are not even halfway through the season yet and two people have been murdered.

The Liars are still chasing their tails as they try to keep Archer's body covered up in the woods. Sara's demise will only cause them even more panic -- but they need to smarten up quickly if they want to get ahead of A.D. once and for all. What is it going to take for them to start playing smart instead of always playing catchup?

Pretty Little Liars airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Freeform.
