After 10 seasons, Paula Abdul will finally make her debut as a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance Tuesday, Fox announced Monday.

"It's the girl I've waited ten seasons for," executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe tweeted when breaking the news about Abdul's appearance.

Before Abdul was a pop singer and a judge on American Idol, she first broke out as a Los Angeles Lakers cheerleader and later a choreographer for Janet Jackson.

When Abdul announced in August 2009 that she was leaving Idol, reports soon surfaced that Abdul was speaking with Lythgoe, then also an executive producer on Idol, about joining the dance competition series. Instead, Abdul created her own dance show, Live to Dance, which aired on CBS in 2011. She most recently served as a guest judge on the All-Stars edition of Dancing with the Stars.

So You Think You Can Dance airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Fox. Are you excited to see Abdul on the show?
