Nicole Scherzinger Signs on to ABC's Dirty Dancing Remake as Penny

ABC's Dirty Dancing remake has landed former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger to play Penny.

Cynthia Rhodes first played the role of Johnny's (Patrick Swayze) dance partner and co-instructor who gets pregnant unexpectedly and almost dies after a botched abortion. Now Scherzinger will take on the part along side Colt Prattes.

While Scherzinger's acting career has consisted mostly of cameo parts (How I Met Your Mother, Men in Black 3), she's a proven dancer. She not only lead the Pussycat Dolls but won the Mirror Ball Trophy on Dancing with the Stars Season 10. Check out her Argentine Tango below.
