Nashville fans won't have to wait too much longer for their beloved show to return.

CMT announced on Wednesday that Season 5 of Nashville will premiere on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 9/8c. New episodes will be available the following day on Hulu.

CMT, in partnership with Hulu, picked up Nashville after it was canceled by ABC earlier this year. Season 5 will mark the debut of new showrunners Ed Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz (thirtysomething). The majority of the cast is also returning, minus Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples, who played Luke Wheeler and Layla Grant, respectively.

Season 4 ended on a cliffhanger, with Juliette Barnes' (Hayden Panettiere) plane going missing as she was en route back to Nashville.

In addition to the Nashville premiere date, CMT also announced that its new scripted show Million Dollar Quartet, a limited series that chronicles the birth of rock 'n' roll in Memphis during the early days of the Civil Rights Movement, will premiere in March. Inspired by the Broadway musical, Million Dollar Quartet stars Chad Michael Murray as Sun Records founder Sam Phillips and Billy Gardell as Elvis Presley's manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

Still the King, which stars Billy Ray Cyrus and Joey Lauren Adams, will return for Season 2 in the spring.
