Marvel's Daredevil wants to let the devil out to defeat evil in Season 3 and we are here for it, especially because we can confirm that Daredevil's next season will drop on Netflix on Friday, Oct. 19. That's less than a month away!
The announcement came with a new teaser starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Daredevil, bloody-faced and ready to kick some ass. It looks like he's ditched the signature costume and gone back to basics with a black mask to help him key in to his higher senses. Of course, nothing that's been released so far has answered the burning question of how Matt survived the building demolition at the end of The Defenders, nor whether he's in any rush to tell any of his friends that he's still breathing. We think Foggy (Elden Henson) would like to know!
The creepiness of the trailer is only topped by the new poster, which shows someone we think is Matt in a Christ-like crucifixion position. That'd definitely go along with the theme of his Catholic guilt that's been running through the series since Season 1.
What seems obvious is that this season of Daredevil is going to be even darker than the ones before it, and Matt's signature optimism seems to have died under that building.
Daredevil Season 3 premieres Friday, Oct. 19 on Netflix.
