Netflix's Daredevil has done a good job of distancing itself from the 2003 Ben Affleck movie, both in tone and storyline, but Season 3 might end up including a major character from the film: Bullseye.
A photo recently shared by a member of the Daredevil costume department shows a swag jacket for Season 3 with the Daredevil logo emblazoned on the back. There's a new addition to this logo, however, in the form of a bullseye target lurking in the background. This logo is either a huge coincidence or as close to confirmation we're ever going to get that Bullseye will be making his debut in Season 3.
In the comics, Bullseye was one of Daredevil's major villains, with a long and tired history of going up against Daredevil (and usually losing). He was also a hired gun for Kingpin, aka Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio). So far, the Netflix series has shied away from integrating him into the narrative, instead choosing to focus on villains like Fisk, Elektra (Elodie Yung) and The Hand.
How Bullseye will factor into the story is anyone's guess, but there's a very real possibility that he'll still serve Fisk. Despite being locked away in prison for his crimes, Fisk played a substantial role in Daredevil Season 2, and he's still alarmingly well connected to the New York City underworld. When and if Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Daredevil resurface (reminder: he's technically presumed dead at the end of The Defenders) it could be that Fisk will hire Bullseye to take him out and make sure the death sticks this time around.
No released date for Daredevil Season 3 has been announced yet.
