This year's Arrowverse's Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover has so many guest stars spanning so many different shows, it's getting pretty hard to keep track of who is and isn't involved. Maybe that's why rumors started circulating this week about Lucifer's Tom Ellis making an appearance in the massive TV event. Unfortunately, Ellis insists those rumors are false.

"OK, see... this is what happens. I go to Vancouver for the weekend to visit my friend for his birthday and now suddenly, I'm in a different show!" Ellis told Entertainment Tonight when asked whether he'd be making an appearance in the crossover. "No! Hard pass, sorry... Sorry fans."

Rumors first started circulating about Lucifer's involvement in Crisis after a popular fan account, Canadagraphs, tweeted that Ellis had been spotted on the set of Crisis on Infinite Earths. The account reported that he was filming dressed in character as Lucifer Morningstar with David Ramsey, Katherine McNamara and Matt Ryan, who play John Diggle, Mia Smoak, and Constantine, respectively. But unless Ellis is just trying to preserve the surprise, it doesn't look like fans will get to see Diggle react to meeting the actual devil.
