Kendra Wilkinson Jumps to Hugh Hefner's Defense: He's an "Amazing Human Being"

But Holly Madison? Not so much

Liz Raftery

In the wake of Holly Madison's hellish depiction of her time at the Playboy Mansion, at least one former Playmate is leaping to Hugh Hefner's defense.

Kendra Wilkinson (who, along with Hefner, is slammed in Madison's new memoir), tells Peoplethat Madison is rewriting history and Hefner is actually an "amazing human being."

"We're witnessing some revenge here," she says of Madison's book, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny. "How could [Holly] want kids and [to] get married to him and then, next thing you know, say these types of things about Hef? It's just out of revenge, and I feel bad for Hef."

Holly Madison makes the Playboy Mansion - and Hugh Hefner - sound like hell

Wilkinson and Madison are former friends who lived in the Playboy Mansion together, but also co-starred on The Girls Next Door, the reality show about their life there.

Though Madison claims to be offended that Hefner tried to keep her at the Mansion by including her in his will, Wilkinson says her former housemate knew exactly what she was getting into, and embraced her role in Hefner's life. "My perception was that she acted like a First Lady," Wilkinson tells People. "Holly, you can tell, had this ulterior motive every minute being at the Mansion, and that motive was - it was clear as day - she wanted Hef's kids, she wanted a piece of Playboy and she wanted to marry Hef for, obviously, his will."
