But he wasn't very impressed

The internet lost its collective mind over Ice-T having never eaten a bagel and now the iconic rapper and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star is here to set the record straight.

It all went down when a Twitter fan asked him what his favorite type of bagel was after his SVU character was spotted holding a cinnamon raisin one. That's when he dropped the mind-boggling bombshell that he never had tried one. What followed next was an internet meltdown over Ice-T never indulging in such a morning staple, leading him to also reveal that he's never had coffee either.

During Wednesday's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ice-T addressed his controversial admission and explained why he'd never tried either before.

"I don't know why that's so hard for people to believe! Look, I'm from South Central. Could you imagine Snoop singing 'Rolling down the street, smoking endo, easting some lox and bagels?' It don't work!'" he said.

And in case you're wondering, Ice-T has tried a coffee and bagel since then. "I ate one the other day. I did a commercial for a dating site called Coffee Meets Bagel and I ate one," he added. "One bite, I felt like I ate a loaf of bread. Why would I eat an unsweetened donut? I'm okay with it. Coffee's cool. I'm good. I like jelly donuts. Let's just keep it moving."

Catch Ice-T in action, probably not eating a bagel, during Law & Order: SVU's midseason finale which airs Thursday, Nov. 29 at 10/9c on NBC.
