Fox is developing a series based on the 2005 film starring Will Smith as a date doctor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont (Made of Honor) are writing the script, with Smith's Overbrook Entertainment and Sony Pictures Television on board to produce.

While it doesn't seem likely that Smith would reprise his role as the titular character, he will serve as an executive producer.

Hitch is just the latest film or TV show with a remake in the works. It joins a growing list that already includes BewitchedThe IllusionistMarley & MeProblem Child, and more.
