*Cue sigh of relief*

While we may have speculated that Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) could be planning her exit thanks to recent plot twists on Grey's Anatomy, at least we know one character is likely to stick around until the bitter end!

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter to celebrate the series' 332nd episode (which has officially broken ER's streak as TV's longest-running medical drama), Chandra Wilson indicated that she has no plans to leave the series. "I would love to be a starter and a finisher of a thing," she said. "When the show is ready for that last shot, I want to be in that."

A few actors' contracts with the show will be up after this season, and one of them happens to be Wilson, which is why this news comes as a bit of reassurance for fans during this time of transition. Given how people tend to come and go from this series no matter how beloved their character is, it's nice to hear that she's so steadfast in committing to seeing it through to the end.

On a storyline level, we're also more than a little relieved to hear that Bailey's story won't get cut off anytime soon considering she's finally gotten back to a healthy place with her anxiety. Now that she's ready to start pursuing the chief position again, that promises to be a juicy storyline with Alex (Justin Chambers), so the longer we have with these characters, the better!

Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
