It. Is. On.

Has there ever been a more appropriate day for the Joker to make an appearance than April Fools'?

Gotham has given us our first look at Jeremiah (Cameron Monaghan) at his most Joker-esque in a new teaser, titled simply "J." In the short clip, Jeremiah can be seen in Arkham Asylum, where he's been ever since his fall in the acid vat inside Ace Chemicals during his last fight with Bruce (David Mazouz). An eerie carnival version of "I Feel Pretty" plays over his drooling figure before turning to something darker as Jeremiah says, "I feel something new. Something beautiful." We also see a horrifying clip of him laughing maniacally at his own impaled hand, which has what appears to be a bat-shaped throwing star embedded in it.

It. Is. On.

This will mark Jeremiah's final transition into the iconic Batman villain we've all been eagerly anticipating since Monaghan first made his debut on the show. This sneak peek appears to be promoting the final two episodes of the season, which start April 18, so we'll have to wait just a little longer to see Batman and the Joker in action. At least this is official confirmation that Monaghan will appear in the series finale!
