Another Adams Foster reunion is going to happen on Good Trouble.
Hayden Byerly will reprise his role as Jude in the first season of the upcoming Fosters spin-off. He's the third original cast member to make an appearance on the new show after Teri Polo and Sherri Saum showed up on set earlier this summer.
Of course, it would have been weird if Jude didn't show up on Good Trouble. Callie (Maia Mitchell) said in The Fosters' series finale that a big part of the reason she chose the clerkship in Los Angeles was to be closer to Jude at UCLA. Her little brother almost failed out after his freshman year so it makes sense that Callie will check on him after their emotional reconnection in the Fosters finale.
Good Trouble follows Callie and Mariana's (Cierra Ramirez) adventures in Los Angeles after graduating from college. Callie is clerking for a conservative judge who she hopes to influence into more progressive policies. Mariana will be putting her MIT degree to good use at a tech start-up. They'll live together in an apartment complex filled with new characters who will surely be instrumental in helping them get into that Good Trouble. Okay, that's the last pun, I swear.
Good Trouble is currently in production in Los Angeles and will premiere in 2019.
