The Great War has arrived at Winterfell.

In the calm before the storm that will be the Battle of Winterfell, we were treated to another Game of Thrones episode that set the table for the upcoming battle against the army of the dead.

After the cliffhanger in "Winterfell," we see Jaime Lannister successfully plead his case to join Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and Sansa Stark's fight for the living. He owes it all to Brienne of Tarth, who vouches for the Kingslayer.

The two later strengthened their bond when — after Tormund Giantsbane chugged "Giant's Milk" — Jaime knighted Brienne in front of Davos Seaworth, Tyrion Lannister, Tormund, and the angel-voiced Podrick Payne.

Speaking of strengthening their bond, Arya Stark and Gendry — after some major flirting in last week's episode — finally got some alone time.
