The Atlanta star will be pulling double duty on May 5th
Donald Glover/Childish Gambino will be pulling double duty on May 5th's new episode of Saturday Night Live.
The multi-hyphenate talent behind FX's Atlantawill serve as host in his show debut for SNL, and his MC alter ego Childish Gambino will also perform as the night's musical guest.
Perhaps the episode will give his actor half a chance to finally perform part of that Deadpool script (available here) that got axed in his fall-out with Marvel over the now-defunct animated series?
Some hope he might bring in Deadpool 2 star Ryan Reynolds for a choice cameo that might make light of the matter.
Another big wish list item is for the musical artist to drop some new music well ahead of his forthcoming fall tour.
And, of course, the thing everyone seems to be looking forward to is the moment when he, as host, introduces himself as the musical guest.
Glover joins a list of performers who doubled as both guest and host of the series, including Britney Spears, MC Hammer, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson and more.
