Chris Brown stopped by the Today show Monday to promote his new single, but, as usual, it was his relationship with Rihanna that dominated the conversation.
After Brown confirmed over the weekend that the two are, in fact, still a couple — despite some reports to the contrary — Matt Lauer asked him about the infamous incident in 2009 in which Brown beat Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards.
"I've been humbled by the whole experience," Brown admitted. "What I did was totally wrong."
Brown said he completed a 52-week domestic violence counseling program as part of his sentence, and that it will "absolutely" never happen again.
Added Brown: "I can't make everybody like me. ... I'm not really focused on the negative. Everything about it is positive for me."
