Chicago P.D. is getting a new recruit.
Revenge alum Nick Wechsler is joining the show in a recurring role, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Wechsler will play Kenny Rixton, who was a protégé of Hank Voight's (Jason Beghe) when they both worked in the gang unit, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news. It's unclear as of now how the character will reconnect with Voight, or in which episode he'll first appear.
The addition of Wechsler comes as Chicago P.D. prepares to say farewell to series regular Jon Seda, who is heading to Chicago Justice, which will premiere midseason. Seda's final episode of Chicago P.D.will be Wednesday's two-hour fall finale.
In addition to playing Jack Porter on ABC's Revenge, Wechsler's other television credits include Roswelland last season's quickly canceled dramaThe Player.
