The Bachelorette Finale: Who Did Andi Choose?

Another Bachelorette season has ended in an engagement!

At the start of the two-hour finale, Andi's family joined her in the Dominican Republic to meet the remaining men, Nick and Josh. Nick met the group first where he was surprisingly reserved. It wasn't until his time with Andi's mom that the Midwesterner opened up about his love for her daughter. "I love that girl so much," he said. "There will be no one, no thing that's a bigger priority to me than your daughter." As for his conversation with Andi's tough dad Hy, Nick asked for his blessing and permission to marry her and Hy ultimately lent his support saying, "If you two choose each other that would be wonderful."

Next, it was Josh's turn to meet the Dorfmans. He, too, was obviously nervous, but wasted no time in telling the family about Andi's immediate concern about him being a former professional athlete. But during his time with Hy, he proved that he's ready to spend his life with Andi. "I have complete faith in her ability to make an intelligent and emotional decision," he said. "You've got my blessing. The only one you need to worry about is hers."

For their final one-on-one date, Nick and Andi went off-roading and then spent some more alone time in his suite. Nick opened up about being nervous going into the final rose ceremony, not knowing which way Andi would go. "It's going to be alright," she assured him. But was she giving him a false sense of confidence? Towards the end of their date, Nick gave Andi a necklace made with some sand from the beach where he first told her "I love you." "Nick is basically everything I've been looking for in a man," she later said.

For Josh's final date, the two reminisced over their first one-on-one by yachting across the Caribbean. There, Josh told Andi about his conversation with Hy and how he got his blessing for a proposal. That night, she raised doubts  about choosing and what could go wrong. Josh then read her a note along with her own baseball card with some stats that he said captures their relationship. "I see that future with him and it's very exciting," she later said. But Andi also said she's never been more confused.

The next morning, the two men picked out their ring to give Andi, but shortly thereafter, Andi showed up at Nick's room. "I woke up this morning and didn't feel that something was right," she said holding back tears. "The feeling is not right." Nick then asked when she started to feel this way and she explained that the intensity and over-analyzing came to a head during their last date. "When I told you I loved you, I don't know how you could look at me the way you did and react the way you did and be sitting here right now and be saying this to me," he responded. Nick's confusion soon turned to shock and then anger. "You took it too far," he said before walking her to the door and barely saying goodbye.

That means there was only one man standing for the final rose ceremony! Josh exited the limo where he was met by a smiling, nervous Andi. "When I decided to give up my first love, baseball, all those years ago, a big reason why was because I knew that there was a greater love that existed somewhere," Josh said. "Then I found you, Andi Dorfman, and my life changed forever... You are the answer to all my prayers, you are the woman of all my dreams, you are the woman that I never thought existed in this world." Andi then told Josh how the process has been a struggle and a challenge and that from the moment she met him she was scared. But, she added, "It has taken a lot of thought for me to get here and I know that feeling from the very first time I saw you, I know that feeling right now ... is love. Josh, I've loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you. I'm madly in love with you, and you are it. You're the one and I want to spend the rest of my life with." Josh then got down on one knee and popped the question. "Andi Janette Dorfman, will you marry me?" Andi, of course, accepted

At the live After the Final Rose ceremony, host Chris Harrison reveals that Nick tried to contact Andi twice, including during the recent "Men Tell All." While Andi wasn't ready to see him at the time, the two finally had a face-to-face conversation. Although it started off feeling a bit awkward -- and slightly boring -- things got interesting when Nick said, "If you didn't love me, why did you make love with me?" Andi, who immediately called him out on sharing a private moment and hitting her "below the belt" only got angry from there -- and rightfully so. Eventually the segment came to an end, and Nick exited the stage (where hopefully Josh wasn't waiting to give him a left hook). The night ended happily though when the newly engaged and very giddy couple shared the stage to talk about their future: Josh is hoping for a spring wedding!
