Paradise has been lost for one Bachelor in Paradise couple. Samantha Steffen and Nick Peterson, who began dating during the show's second season, have put an end to their relationship, Us Weeklyreports.

The pair had decided to continue their relationship during the season finale in June, though a source says that distance became a problem and "they just weren't able to make it work. Steffen, 28, resides in Los Angeles, while Peterson, 31, calls Tampa home.

Peterson confirmed the split on Instagram with a photo of the former couple pouting in playful manner. The caption reads that "the distance is too tough at this time. She's an amazing girl...we'll absolutely remain friends."

The news makes Tanner Tolbert and Jade Roper the final couple still together. Earlier this year contestant Ashley Salter ended relationships with castmates Dan Cox and Nick Peterson, and is now engaged to her college sweetheart.
