American Horror Story Is Bringing Back the Coven Witches!

Surprise bitch, you still haven't seen the last of them

Surprise bitch, you still haven't seen the last of them. American Horror Story: Apocalypse, the deliciously wicked Murder House-Coven crossover season, saw a number of casualties (RIP Myrtle Snow) but the witches put up one hell of a fight and most of them lived to see another day. Now, it looks like the survivors will return to the AHS universe -- albeit not as soon as you might hope.

While receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the witches will be making a comeback in the thrilling horror anthology, and this might be the best news we've heard all week. "The witches will be back. Not next season, though, but we have something really fun planned," he teased to Entertainment Tonight.

No word yet on which witches will return to AHS or when, but we've got our fingers crossed that we'll see our girl Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) after she was banished to her own personal hell (again) in the Apocalypse finale. As we've seen before, there's no cage that can hold her and it's only a matter of time before she breaks free (aka Mallory will have to go down there and rescue her butt).

Murphy has already begun the work on Season 9 but details about that upcoming installment remain tightly under wraps. In the meantime, you can stream the first seven seasons of American Horror Story on Netflix.
