Trench 11
November, 1918, France. At what appears to be the imminent end of the war, the British obtain intelligence that the Germans have created a bunker far below the surface under what is known as Trench 11, the suspicion being that the Germans used it to develop chemical weapons. With the Allied suspicions true, the Germans want to eliminate any evidence of the bunker and what is contained within, even if it means killing their own. The Allied reconnaissance mission led by Maj. Jennings, the type of officer who does not tolerate any questioning of his authority, they will need American escorts as the region is now controlled by the US, but they also believe an invaluable person to have on the team is Lt. Berton, a Canadian tunneler. What they do not know is that Berton has taken to drink to cope with his war experience. If the Allied team is able to discover what the Germans were up to before the Germans themselves try to destroy the evidence, they will find something more insidious than regular chemical weapons. If so, they may have to balance their own individual safety against public good, even of the Nazis.
