On a foggy night, a student on the run after committing a murder encounters a sailor who offers to help him board a departing ship. In exchange for three crowns, the sailor demands that the student listen to his story until dawn. The sailor recounts a strange and fragmented maritime odyssey, filled with enigmatic characters and uncanny episodes where the boundaries between life and death seem blurred. The ship becomes a suspended, almost spectral space, inhabited by figures who appear neither fully alive nor fully dead. By morning, the pact unravels, but the film suggests that storytelling itself is a condition of survival: the ship seems to require at least one living being among the dead in order to continue its journey.
