In this short comedy from New Zealand filmmakers Mark Albiston and Louis Sutherland, Andy (Oscar Vandy-Connor) is an eight-year-old boy who often retreats into a world of fantasy. In his imagination, Andy has super powers and performs brave feats alongside a handful of fellow caped crusaders, often teaching a lesson to the older bullies in the schoolyard. But Andy's world of make believe has made some trouble for him in the real world, and when he gets on the wrong side of his school's headmaster, he must find the courage to confront his problems head on. The Six Dollar Fifty Man was an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, where it was named Best International Short Subject.
