The She-Creature Reviews

Morris plays a hypnotist who puts English into a trance, then calls up her past self, a creature that has been lurking at the bottom of the sea since prehistoric times. Promoter Conway gets wind of the proceedings and thinks up a scheme to make a buck by having Morris predict murders done by the evil creature. But Fuller sees through the gimmick as his interest in English deepens, until English is eventually able to control her other self without the aid of Morris. She uses this skill to turn the creature on Morris and Conway, before allowing it a well-deserved rest in the ocean. Some interesting concepts were touched on, but quickly pushed to the background in the name of plot development, which in this case is one cliche after another. Later remade as CREATURE OF DESTRUCTION.
