The Shah is portrayed as a father-monarch who is concerned with the people as he wisely tends to affairs of the state. The feature was reissued in the wake of the revolution led by Islamic fundamentalist that toppled the regime of the Shah. The student takeover of the US embassy and a prolonged hostage situation of American captives was a result of the religious fervor that swept the country and outset the Shah from power.
