This astounding Australian Western, set in the 1880s, is a moody and violent meditation on frontier (or outback) justice. It's about an outlaw leader (Danny Huston) whose conflicted brother (Guy Pearce) is pressured to gun him down to spare their teenage brother from the hangman's noose. Directed by John Hillcoat and written by Nick Cave, better known as a rock musician and frontman for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds. Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Emily Watson, David Wenham, Noah Taylor.
