The Navy vs. the Night Monsters Reviews

This is one of those films that is so bad you go to see it for the laughs instead of the chills. Eisley is in charge of a South Pacific naval base that must care for a plane from Antarctica filled with Ice Age vegetation. The plane crashes and the rescue team, consisting of Eisley and Van Doren, find the pilot dead, frozen in shock. To save the plant life, Eisley transplants them near some hot springs, and suddenly, people start disappearing. It is discovered that the trees have been snacking on people. Not only that, but the leafy monsters can walk on their furry roots. As the trees multiply, they move in on the survivors, but Eisley torches and kills them with Molotov cocktails. This, the only film directed by screenwriter Hoey, features Gray who played Bud on TV's "Father Knows Best."
