This is the story of one of the Native American tribes threatened by the expansion of the United States territory. The Mahto band of the Teton Sioux are their own masters, live in the old ways and find beauty and mystery in the sky, earth and all creatures. They live as one with the land just as their Grandfathers have for centuries. As white settlers go west and start dividing the land, one of the Mahto people must go to extraordinary lengths to try and save his people from the approaching ruin, of which most of them are still unaware. This title was originally a television mini-series that got edited into a television film. Both versions still exist but are very hard to find.
