The Mole People Reviews

A setting of scientific hullabaloo surrounds this terrible tale of a team of explorers, headed by Agar and Beaumont, who descend into an Asian mountain's depths and discover a race of albinos living in complete darkness. They also find a race of mole people who are the slaves of the albinos. When the albinos give Agar and Beaumont a hard time, the mole folks emerge and lend a helping hand. The weapon used by our heroes in their thankfully unbloody combat with the albinos is a flashlight, which serves them well until the batteries fail. Heroine Patrick, unlike her pallid mountain-dwelling brethren, has a touch of melanin in her, and thus seems not to have been within the mountain for as long as the rest of her race. Includes a hysterical (however unintentionally so) prolog from a University of Southern California professor (Baxter), who comments on the scientific nature of the film's subject matter.
