Doris (Leah Baird) breaks the heart of her fiancé Fred Norton (George Walsh) when she is forced into a loveless marriage with the villainous Captain Joe Mansfield (George Nichols). Fred joins the Army and is shipped overseas. Doris discovers her husband is the cruel smuggler of Chinese immigrants who places money above the safety of his human cargo. She is free to be reunited with Fred when her hateful husband conveniently falls down a well to his death. Edith Yorke, Edythe Chapman, Dickie Headrick, and Mitchell Lewis co-star, but all involved can do little with the thin plot written by Leah Baird.
