Steve Carell scores as a good-hearted guy with a serious lack of carnal knowledge who has great hopes that it will all change with help from his three "experienced" friends. Carell co-wrote the uproarious script with first-time director Judd Apatow. Talk about painfully honest filmmaking, the flinch-inducing scene where Carell's character has his chest hair removed was real.
