A visit from Miri's Swiss boyfriend, Stephan, offers both mother and son the hope of a happier family life. His warmth wins Dvir over, but his behavior clashes with the kibbutz's rigid expectations. After a confrontation with another member leads to Stephan's expulsion, Miri's condition deteriorates. Dvir struggles to protect his mother while confronting the gap between the community's ideals of mutual care and its treatment of their family.
