It is 1919 and Stefan and his father are struggling to earn enough money to reunite their family. One day, Stefan meets Rebecca, a Jewish suffragist, and he falls head over heels for her. While Rebecca openly reciprocates Stefan's feelings, their parents are staunchly against their budding romance. It is also during this time that the working class, immigrants, and minorities are starting to feel dissatisfied with how they are treated and compensated, ultimately leading to one final stand.
