Joanna (Nikki Hanseblad) is 18 years old and has ADHD; her synapses are practically going off like fireworks, almost unstoppably. She manages to ease her constant restlessness through casual sex with Matheus (Emil Algpeus), regular swimming, and, above all, medication. But she can't afford her pills because her father (Shanti Roney) has been severely depressed and unemployed since her mother's death. So, in the midst of this chaotic situation, Joanna is completely on her own. And just now, of all times, she falls in love with her cool classmate Audrey (Melina Paukkonen). Now Joanna must learn to embrace these unfamiliar feelings and deal with them. But her many problems, her often irritatingly direct manner, and the sarcasm she uses to mask her insecurity get in the way - and lead her to make some poor decisions.
