Something's gone sour at a candy factory, and two sad-sack rent-a-cops are out to crack the case in this offbeat independent comedy. Bill (Tim Orr) and Pat (Stephen Kearin) are two regular guys who work the late shift as security guards for a candy company. Handling their jobs with a bit more enthusiasm than necessary, outwardly relaxed Bill and overly talkative Pat make it their business to know what's going on in every part of the factory, and carefully interrogate as many employees as possible, no matter who they are or what they do. Their determination goes into overdrive when they discover someone has lifted samples of new snacks that haven't yet gotten out of the testing stages, and Bill and Pat are soon obsessed with finding the thief and bringing him to justice, even if it means getting up early and covering the day shift as well to do it. Security was screened as part of the Feature Competition at the 2003 South by Southwest Film Festival.
