The Unattainably Perfect Gay Christmas
Jordan and Dave have been dating for two years and it finally feels like time to pop the question. At a train station on the way to his Aunt Vanity's house, Jordan proposes with a special kind of ring. To his delight, Dave eagerly says "yes" to marriage. Upon arriving in scenic Red Lodge, Montana, Dave suddenly changes his mind. The couple take no time to delve into the bump in their relationship due to the holiday festivities surrounding them. Dave's adoptive sister Lisa shows up with her lanky boyfriend Lace. And then Dave meets a young, twinky ski instructor who adds a kink to their already-fracturing relationship - all during the "most wonderful time of the year." The movie stars Joseph Lim Kim (Modern Family, Hawaii Five-O) and Richard Pierre-Louis (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Shameless), along with Diane Kylander, Aric Weber, Ross Andrew Dibble, Jessica Garibay, and a hilarious guest turn by Stephnie Weir (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Grace and Frankie) as a web psychic who predicts Jordan's future. It was filmed in Red Lodge, Montana and Los Angeles, California. It is the first feature by Dan Steadman, who would go on to write and direct over a dozen films, including Smile and The Mutts. His company Circa 87 is based in the Midwest and focuses on stories about underrepresented and marginalized people.
